RESIDENCE HALL DIRECTOR (RHD) – plays an intricate role in fostering the creation of positive residential communities through leadership, supervision and staff development. The RHD manages a residence hall of approximately 400-525 students, supervising 12-16 Resident Assistants, managing student staff for front desk, computer lab, and night security operations, serving as a University conduct officer, and assists with summer camps and conferences. Collateral assignments may include: supervising student maintenance, co-teaching leadership/RA Class, student staff selection and/or training participation. Candidate must have sensitivity to multicultural issues and support a diverse environment, be prepared to play an active role in the development of the department, and needs to have a strong programming background. REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree and experience in student residential life, Master’s degree and college student personnel (CSP) preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties. REMUNERATION: This is a 12-month live-in position with on call/duty rotation required. Compensation includes: salary commensurate with experience, 12 meals per week (when dining hall is open), furnished apartment with washer and dryer, cable, internet, and designated staff parking space. Small pets allowed. NIGHT DISPATCH/CLERY COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR FOR UNIVERSITY POLICE DEPARTMENT – Oversees operations for the Police Dispatching function and the Parking and Security Office to perform highly responsible and confidential functions. Keeps highly confidential law enforcement records, and assists local and regional law enforcement agencies with emergency and non-emergency requests and calls for assistance. Creates and maintains action plans to confirm the University is in compliance with Clery Act standards with the HEOA. Fosters a campus wide approach of Clery compliance by working with many departments throughout the University and local constituents. This position will work 3:00 p.m. -11:00 p.m., Monday – Friday, with flexibility to work occasional additional hours. REQUIRED:  High school diploma or GED, and two years of administrative support experience. Strong oral and written skills with specialized training or experience in the clerical or computer field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties such as: ability to disseminate, research, analyze and prepare data; ability to resolve routine issues professionally, efficiently, and independently; and ability to assess and prioritize emergencies and calls for service. The successful candidate must also be able to pass a law enforcement criminal background check and be able to maintain MULES Certification. PREFER: Experience in emergency dispatch and knowledge of law enforcement applications. Up to one year of specialized technical training and/or Associates Degree or two-year technical certificate; prefer Law Enforcement support and Clery/UCR experience. LOCKSMITH– The locksmith installs, maintains, and repairs mechanical and electronic locks systems, doors, and hardware; creates and maintains precise inventory and distribution records of keys; and assists other skilled trades as needed. REQUIRED: High school diploma or GED and five years of general locksmith and computerized lock systems experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Must have a valid driver’s license, knowledge of Grade 1 commercial locks, electronic and computerized lock systems, lock functions and applications, and key bitting arrays and key cutting.
