ACADEMIC COMPUTING TECHNICIAN– (full-time, no benefits) – to work under the supervision of the Academic Computing Coordinator, working to maintain campus academic computer labs and to assist faculty and students who use the labs. Duties include assuring proper availability and functioning of campus computer labs; assisting students and faculty who use the labs; maintaining records of lab problems, lab inventory, and lab maintenance; and participating in research and testing of lab hardware, software, and management tools. REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; or, and equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. PREFERRED: Experience with Mac and Linux operating systems, software deployment and management, computer hardware and software troubleshooting, a customer service environment, and working in a higher education or K-12 setting is desired.
