RESIDENCE HALL DIRECTOR (RHD) – plays an intricate role in fostering the creation of positive residential communities through leadership, supervision and staff development. The RHD manages a residence hall of approximately 400-525 students, supervising 12-16 Resident Assistants, managing student staff for front desk, computer lab, and night security operations, serving as a University conduct officer, and assists with summer camps and conferences. Collateral assignments may include: supervising student maintenance, co-teaching leadership/RA Class, student staff selection and/or training participation. Candidate must have sensitivity to multicultural issues and support a diverse environment, be prepared to play an active role in the development of the department, and needs to have a strong programming background. REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree and experience in student residential life, Master’s degree and college student personnel (CSP) preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties. REMUNERATION: This is a 12-month live-in position with on call/duty rotation required. Compensation includes: salary commensurate with experience, 12 meals per week (when dining hall is open), furnished apartment with washer and dryer, cable, internet, and designated staff parking space. Small pets allowed. ACADEMIC COMPUTING TECHNICIAN- to work under the supervision of the Academic Computing Coordinator, working to maintain campus academic computer labs and to assist faculty and students who use the labs. Duties include assuring proper availability and functioning of campus computer labs; maintaining records of lab problems, lab inventory, and lab maintenance; and participating in research and testing of lab hardware, software, and management tools. REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. PREFERRED: Experience with Mac and Linux operating systems, software deployment and management, computer hardware and software troubleshooting, a customer service environment, and working in a higher education or K-12 setting is desired. ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK– Responsible for maintaining accurate, current payment status by preparing and auditing purchase orders and invoices. The position will ensure proper coding of payments for year-end processing, verifies and balances the A/P ledger, responsible for imaging W-9’s and check registers, evaluates new vendor information and validates the Federal ID# with online Federal IRS website, ensures all vouchers and PO’s follow pay requests, and works with Chief Accountant to test finance module updates and implementing A/P software enhancements. REQUIRED: High school diploma or GED, one year of specialized training beyond high school in business; and, at least two years of accounting and computer experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. This position requires a highly organized person with strong accuracy and communication skills, able to handle weekly deadlines and work at a quick pace. FINANCIAL AID COORDINATOR – The Financial Aid Coordinator must function in a dynamic, dedicated team-centered environment. While responsibilities assigned include technical/specialized duties in the administration of student financial assistance programs, the position also requires a great deal of flexibility. Tasks assigned will include (but are not limited to) authorization, monitoring, and certifying the eligibility of financial aid recipients under a wide range of regulatory requirements. These include federal, state, institutional and private financial aid programs. The coordinator will assist with ensuring compliance with the applicable program policies and counsel/assist students and families through the financial aid process. A positive attitude and the ability to apply strict attention to detail are required. REQUIRED:  Associates degree in Business related field and 2 years of experience in financial aid with direct experience with verification of student financial aid files and certifying student loan applications, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties. The successful candidate must have the ability to work independently and in groups and to learn quickly. PREFER: Bachelor’s degree in Business related field. An individual with a Bachelor’s in a Business related field may be considered in lieu of direct financial aid experience. Official transcripts must be provided prior to hiring.
