ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT- NONTRADITIONAL AND COMMUTER STUDENT CENTER– (temporary position, no benefits) – to assist in the daily operational management of a department, including customer service, and administrative support duties. The position will serve as initial contact, answers telephone calls, emails, assesses and responds to inquiries; ensures compliance with policies and campus procedures; and maintains office supplies. The Assistant will plan and implement programming open to all students, but focusing primarily on nontraditional, commuter, and veteran students, and will need a good understanding and appreciation of the benefits offered to Missouri Western students outside of the classroom. REQUIRED: High school diploma or GED; one year of specialized training in administrative support or a related field; three years of administrative support or related office experience; proven office skills/computer applications, or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. This position requires a person who is organized, able to multi-task and to set priorities. PREFERRED: Experience using Native Banner and knowledge of MWSU policies. HVAC/R TECHNICIAN– performs skilled work in the installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair of heating, ventilating, air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical systems, lock systems and plumbing. REQUIRED: High school diploma or GED and five years of experience with residential and/or commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and single and three-phase high-voltage electrical systems; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Must have valid driver’s license; and EPA certification in refrigerant handling with all endorsements able to obtain Class II engineering license. HEAD CHEERLEADING COACH- Missouri Western State University is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Head Cheerleading Coach within the Department of Athletics. This is classified as a part-time position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, planning, directing, and evaluating all aspects and facets of a successful cheer program and serves as a leader and mentor to the student-athletes in the program. Specific duties include; recruitment and selection of qualified student-athletes and responsibility for the development of procedures and plans to organize and train student-athletes for successful and safe routines can be an integral part of the game day experience at MWSU athletics contests and community engagement events as scheduled, budget oversight, the responsibility to adhere to policies and procedures of Missouri Western State University, the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) and the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) and other duties as assigned. REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree; previous cheer coaching experience preferred; and strong communication skills.
