ACADEMIC COMPUTING TECHNICIAN– (full-time, no benefits) – to work under the supervision of the Academic Computing Coordinator, working to maintain campus academic computer labs and to assist faculty and students who use the labs. Duties include assuring proper availability and functioning of campus computer labs; assisting students and faculty who use the labs; maintaining records of lab problems, lab inventory, and lab maintenance; and participating in research and testing of lab hardware, software, and management tools. REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; or, and equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. PREFERRED: Experience with Mac and Linux operating systems, software deployment and management, computer hardware and software troubleshooting, a customer service environment, and working in a higher education or K-12 setting is desired. FINANCIAL AID COORDINATOR – The Financial Aid Coordinator must function in a dynamic, dedicated team-centered environment. While responsibilities assigned include technical/specialized duties in the administration of student financial assistance programs, the position also requires a great deal of flexibility. Tasks assigned will include (but are not limited to) authorization, monitoring, and certifying the eligibility of financial aid recipients under a wide range of regulatory requirements. These include federal, state, institutional and private financial aid programs. The coordinator will assist with ensuring compliance with the applicable program policies and counsel/assist students and families through the financial aid process. A positive attitude and the ability to apply strict attention to detail are required. REQUIRED: Associates degree in Business related field and 2 years of experience in financial aid with direct experience with verification of student financial aid files and certifying student loan applications, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties. The successful candidate must have the ability to work independently and in groups and to learn quickly. PREFER: Bachelor’s degree in Business related field. An individual with a Bachelor’s in a Business related field may be considered in lieu of direct financial aid experience. Official transcripts must be provided prior to hiring.
