What is the payment process for home school students taking dual enrollment?2019-08-26T11:50:37-05:00

Tuition and fees are paid to Missouri Western State University. A down payment must be received by the appropriate deadline [fall classes by October 1, or spring classes by March 1], and if no payment is received by that date, the student will be dropped from the course. If the account is not paid in full by the appropriate semester date [fall classes by November 1, or spring classes by April 1], a hold and a $50 late fee will be added to the student’s account.

For summer classes, a down payment must be paid to Missouri Western by the appropriate deadline. For first-four-weeks courses and 8 week courses, a down payment must be received by 5/25. Failure to make a payment by that date will result in being dropped from the course(s). If the student’s account is not paid in full by 6/15, a hold and a $50 late fee will be added to the account. For second-four-weeks courses, a down payment must be received by 6/25. Failure to make a payment by that date will result in being dropped from the course(s). If the student’s account is not paid in full by 7/15, a hold and a $50 late fee will be added to the account.

Please Note:

FERPA regulations require that once the student is enrolled in college coursework, all communication from Missouri Western be with the student. The student may complete a Federal Buckley Amendment Release form granting Missouri Western permission to communicate with a designated individual.

The student will attend classes without the accompaniment of a parent or guardian. Requests for exemption from this release form policy (e.g., due to specific disabilities) should be sent to the Early College Academy. The release form can be obtained by calling (816) 271-4100.

*In the case of homeschooled students, the required recommendation is from the homeschool proctor.
