Graduation Requirements

International Studies Minor

The minor in International Studies is designed to give students exposure to international issues from different perspectives. With the growing globalization of business, governments, and recreation, it is almost certain that today's students will participate in international activities. This minor can help prepare them to maximize the benefit from those interactions.

Declaring a Minor
Students should choose a minor that is different from their major, emphasis or concentration. Minor coursework must consist of a minimum of four credit hours beyond the student’s major, emphasis, concentration and general studies requirements.

Requirements for All Minors
To be awarded a minor, an overall GPA of at least 2.0 must be earned in the required minor coursework unless a higher standard is noted for a specific minor program. The same course in a degree minor may be used to fulfill major course requirements unless stated in a major or minor. Substitution courses are not allowed.
