Testing Hours:
Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Information for Students:

Students who have been approved for testing accommodations are welcome to take their exams in the Griffon Testing Center (GTC). First, students must take a copy of their Student Information Letter to each of their instructors. Even if you don’t think you are going to need any accommodations for a particular class, it is still a good idea to give your letter to your instructor to keep on file during the semester. Next, students will need to remind their instructors that they are going to take their exams in the GTC. Students and instructors need to agree upon a specific date and time when the student will be taking the exam in the GTC. Instructors will enter this information as they are completing the Testing Services Request Form and uploading the exam. On the date of the exam, students should show up in Eder Hall 208 ready to take their test at the scheduled time. All exams need to be completed no later than 4:30 p.m.

Information for Instructors:

The Griffon Testing Center is as much a resource for instructors as it is for students. We realize that it can be difficult to create an equitable testing experience in the classroom for a diverse group of learners so we have created a space outside the classroom where the examination experience can more readily be made inclusive and accessible.

Students must first bring to each of their instructors a copy of their Student Information Letter for you to keep on file throughout the semester. If the student has been approved for testing accommodations, the student has been instructed to remind their instructors that they are going to take their exams in the GTC. Students and instructors need to agree upon a specific date and time when the student will be taking his or her exam in the GTC. Instructors will need to enter this information as they are completing the Testing Services Request Form and uploading the exam. On the date of the exam, students should show up in Eder Hall 208 ready to take their test at the scheduled time.

All exams must be scheduled so they can be completed by 4:30 p.m. Typically, most students need time and a half to complete their exams. For example:

A 50 minute exam would last 75 minutes and would need to be scheduled no later than 3:15 p.m.
A 90 minute exam would last 135 minutes and would need to be scheduled no later than 2:15 p.m.
