Western Playhouse Tickets Available
Tickets are now on sale for the two musicals being staged in the third season of Western Playhouse. Meredith Willson’s perennial favorite “The Music Man” will be show June 20-28, and the award-winning new show “Mother Divine” will be show July 11-19.

Groups of 10+ can purchase tickets for $18 and groups of 20+ can purchase tickets for $15. Missouri Western faculty and staff can purchase tickets for $15 per adult and $6 per child.

The Spratt Hall Box Office is currently open 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday in Spratt 104.
Attention Fall 2014 Graduates
The Registrar’s Office would like to remind all students who are planning on graduating this Fall with a certificate, associate, baccalaureate, or master’s degree that the graduation application Priority Deadline is July 1, 2014. Please note an additional $25 late fee will be applied to applications received after the fifth day of the Fall semester. Applications are available in the Registrar’s Office, Eder 102, or online here.
Graduation applications received by the above Priority Deadline are guaranteed to be reviewed prior to the start of the semester and the resulting official graduation check will be emailed to your Missouri Western email account and to your advisor on record. Graduation applications received after the Priority Deadline will be reviewed and a graduation check completed in the order the application is received.
Children's Lifetime Sports Academy
Missouri Western will host the Children's Lifetime Sports Academy from Monday, June 9 through Friday, June 13 for children aged 8-12. The academy will run from 1:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. each day. For more information call (816) 271-4491. Click here to register.
Baker Family Fitness Center Closing for Renovations
The Baker Family Fitness Center at Missouri Western State University will close June 2 through June 22 for the replacement of the facility’s floor. During this time, Missouri Western students, faculty, staff, alumni and Gold Coat members with current fitness center access will be allowed to use the facilities at the St. Joseph YMCA, 315 South 6th St., at no cost.

Current users of the Baker Center will need to show their IDs at the YMCA’s front desk to verify their membership. Those who haven’t used the fitness center recently should contact Amy Foley, fitness center coordinator, at 816-271-5947, or email Be advised that the YMCA has different hours and rules regarding facility usage and may require users to fill out additional paperwork.
Special Olympics Missouri Coaches Needed
Interested in Coaching?

Special Olympics Missouri offers a wide variety of sports for athletes with intellectual disabilities. Athletes range from all ages and abilities levels. We are always looking for new coaches to volunteer their time. Although we offer opportunities in almost all sports, we are currently in need of coaches for bocce, soccer, and tennis.Coaching for Special Olympics is very rewarding and tons of fun!
