Without a program of study form on file, graduate courses may not count towards their degree.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students should work together with their advisors to complete the program of study form. Distance education students will be able to complete one using fax or scanned signatures.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><style type=\"text\/css\"><\/style><div class=\"fusion-title title fusion-title-1 fusion-title-text fusion-title-size-three\" style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:31px;\"><h3 class=\"title-heading-left\" style=\"margin:0;\"><span id=\"Program_of_Study_Guidelines\" class=\"mw-headline\">Guidelines<\/span><\/h3><div class=\"title-sep-container\"><div class=\"title-sep sep-double sep-solid\" style=\"border-color:#ffc107;\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-1\" style=\"transform:translate3d(0,0,0);\"><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In order to declare a certificate or master\u2019s level degree program the student must meet all admissions requirements and receive approval from the Graduate Program Director and Dean of the Graduate School.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A student with a declared certificate program which has an associated master\u2019s level degree program may request acceptance into that degree program. Upon acceptance, the certificate program of study will be inactivated.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A student with an awarded Missouri Western graduate certificate which has an associated master\u2019s level degree program may request acceptance into and earn that degree.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A student with a declared or awarded Missouri Western master\u2019s level degree program which has an associated certificate program may not declare or earn that certificate.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A student with a declared or awarded Missouri Western Master of Applied Science degree program may not declare or earn the Professional Skills certificate.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A student with a declared or awarded Missouri Western master\u2019s level degree program may request acceptance into a certificate program which is not associated with the master\u2019s program.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><style type=\"text\/css\"><\/style><div class=\"fusion-title title fusion-title-2 fusion-title-text fusion-title-size-three\" style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:31px;\"><h3 class=\"title-heading-left\" style=\"margin:0;\"><span id=\"Multiple_Certificates_or_Master.E2.80.99s_Level_Degrees\" class=\"mw-headline\">Multiple Certificates or Master\u2019s Level Degrees<\/span><\/h3><div class=\"title-sep-container\"><div class=\"title-sep sep-double sep-solid\" style=\"border-color:#ffc107;\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-2\" style=\"transform:translate3d(0,0,0);\"><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A student seeking an additional certificate or master\u2019s level degree or requesting to change to a new certificate or degree must meet the admission criteria for the new program and receive approval from the Graduate Program Director and Dean of the Graduate School. A student seeking an additional certificate or master\u2019s level degree will be required to complete a minimum of 12 credit hours in approved, unique coursework.
