What if I have over 30 credits at admission? <\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div><div id=\"3548edb57aed385c8\" class=\"panel-collapse collapse \"><div class=\"panel-body toggle-content fusion-clearfix\">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you come to Missouri Western with college credit earned during high school (dual credit, Advanced Placement, etc.),\u00a0you will be awarded a scholarship based on your High School Transcript. The number of college credits will not be taken into account. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-panel panel-default fusion-toggle-no-divider fusion-toggle-boxed-mode\" role=\"tabpanel\"><div class=\"panel-heading\"><h4 class=\"panel-title toggle\"><a aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-selected=\"false\" aria-controls=\"109a783df430d7448\" role=\"tab\" data-toggle=\"collapse\" data-parent=\"#accordion-2516-1\" data-target=\"#109a783df430d7448\" href=\"#109a783df430d7448\"><span class=\"fusion-toggle-icon-wrapper\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><i class=\"fa-fusion-box\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/span><span class=\"fusion-toggle-heading\">Are there any limitations to how much scholarship assistance I can receive? <\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div><div id=\"109a783df430d7448\" class=\"panel-collapse collapse \"><div class=\"panel-body toggle-content fusion-clearfix\">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Missouri Western scholarships do not carry cash value. No portion may be disbursed to you in the form of cash or a credit balance\u00a0check. As a result, the following limitations apply:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Limited \u201cstacking\u201d of multiple Missouri Western and Foundation scholarships is permitted so long as a student\u2019s total scholarships do not exceed full tuition, fees, and university housing each semester.\u00a0Scholarships specifically allocated for the payment of book costs, Missouri Western operated study abroad programs, and conference travel expenses will be exempt from this policy.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-panel panel-default fusion-toggle-no-divider fusion-toggle-boxed-mode\" role=\"tabpanel\"><div class=\"panel-heading\"><h4 class=\"panel-title toggle\"><a aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-selected=\"false\" aria-controls=\"13d25af99d64ec248\" role=\"tab\" data-toggle=\"collapse\" data-parent=\"#accordion-2516-1\" data-target=\"#13d25af99d64ec248\" href=\"#13d25af99d64ec248\"><span class=\"fusion-toggle-icon-wrapper\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><i class=\"fa-fusion-box\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/span><span class=\"fusion-toggle-heading\">How are scholarships distributed? <\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div><div id=\"13d25af99d64ec248\" class=\"panel-collapse collapse \"><div class=\"panel-body toggle-content fusion-clearfix\">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All scholarships (including the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Black &amp; Gold<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Scholarship) are awarded on an annual basis and applied in two equal installments, with one half applied during the fall semester and the other half applied during the spring semester.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-panel panel-default fusion-toggle-no-divider fusion-toggle-boxed-mode\" role=\"tabpanel\"><div class=\"panel-heading\"><h4 class=\"panel-title toggle\"><a aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-selected=\"false\" aria-controls=\"74ec209fccfec5e21\" role=\"tab\" data-toggle=\"collapse\" data-parent=\"#accordion-2516-1\" data-target=\"#74ec209fccfec5e21\" href=\"#74ec209fccfec5e21\"><span class=\"fusion-toggle-icon-wrapper\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><i class=\"fa-fusion-box\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/span><span class=\"fusion-toggle-heading\">What if I'm A+ Eligible?<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div><div id=\"74ec209fccfec5e21\" class=\"panel-collapse collapse \"><div class=\"panel-body toggle-content fusion-clearfix\">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Missouri high school students with an A+ stamped transcript will receive a scholarship of $750 per academic year. The A+ scholarship is stackable with the Griffon <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Black &amp; Gold <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Scholarships.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-panel panel-default fusion-toggle-no-divider fusion-toggle-boxed-mode\" role=\"tabpanel\"><div class=\"panel-heading\"><h4 class=\"panel-title toggle\"><a aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-selected=\"false\" aria-controls=\"24b6695d32ffb5878\" role=\"tab\" data-toggle=\"collapse\" data-parent=\"#accordion-2516-1\" data-target=\"#24b6695d32ffb5878\" href=\"#24b6695d32ffb5878\"><span class=\"fusion-toggle-icon-wrapper\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><i class=\"fa-fusion-box\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/span><span class=\"fusion-toggle-heading\">Can I use my Black &amp; Gold Scholarship during the summer? <\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div><div id=\"24b6695d32ffb5878\" class=\"panel-collapse collapse \"><div class=\"panel-body toggle-content fusion-clearfix\">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Black &amp; Gold<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Scholarship(s) is not available for use during the summer term and may not be applied toward summer term charges\u00a0under any\u00a0circumstances.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-panel panel-default fusion-toggle-no-divider fusion-toggle-boxed-mode\" role=\"tabpanel\"><div class=\"panel-heading\"><h4 class=\"panel-title toggle\"><a aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-selected=\"false\" aria-controls=\"09384dc2e40bd9fd0\" role=\"tab\" data-toggle=\"collapse\" data-parent=\"#accordion-2516-1\" data-target=\"#09384dc2e40bd9fd0\" href=\"#09384dc2e40bd9fd0\"><span class=\"fusion-toggle-icon-wrapper\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><i class=\"fa-fusion-box\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/span><span class=\"fusion-toggle-heading\">What if I am graduating at the end of the fall semester? <\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div><div id=\"09384dc2e40bd9fd0\" class=\"panel-collapse collapse \"><div class=\"panel-body toggle-content fusion-clearfix\">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you are scheduled to graduate at the conclusion of the fall semester, only one-half of your annual <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Black &amp; Gold<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Scholarship will be awarded. If you enroll in fewer than 12 credit hours during your final semester, the scholarship may be prorated based on the number of credit hours taken. For example, if you enroll in only 9 credits during the final semester, then you will only receive 75% of the amount scheduled to be awarded that semester (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">e.g.<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a075% of one-half of the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Black &amp; Gold<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Scholarship).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-panel panel-default fusion-toggle-no-divider fusion-toggle-boxed-mode\" role=\"tabpanel\"><div class=\"panel-heading\"><h4 class=\"panel-title toggle\"><a aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-selected=\"false\" aria-controls=\"e76104adc1d5bbc53\" role=\"tab\" data-toggle=\"collapse\" data-parent=\"#accordion-2516-1\" data-target=\"#e76104adc1d5bbc53\" href=\"#e76104adc1d5bbc53\"><span class=\"fusion-toggle-icon-wrapper\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><i class=\"fa-fusion-box\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/span><span class=\"fusion-toggle-heading\">What happens to my scholarship if I do not enroll in school during the fall or spring semester?<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div><div id=\"e76104adc1d5bbc53\" class=\"panel-collapse collapse \"><div class=\"panel-body toggle-content fusion-clearfix\">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you do not enroll at Missouri Western on a full-time basis (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">at least 12 hours<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) during the fall or spring semester, then you will forfeit\u00a0your\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Black &amp; Gold<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Scholarship. However, it is important to note that you may (i) apply and receive approval for a temporary leave of absence, or (ii) participate in a university approved externship, internship, or student teaching program and may defer your <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Black &amp; Gold<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Scholarship for up to two semesters. In either case, you need to <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">submit the Missouri Western Scholarship Appeal form to the Executive Scholarship Committee if a documentable extenuating circumstance resulted in the loss of the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Black &amp; Gold<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Scholarship(s). You may also appeal if you are unable to fulfill a requirement of the award (i.e., full-time or consecutive enrollment, etc.)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-panel panel-default fusion-toggle-no-divider fusion-toggle-boxed-mode\" role=\"tabpanel\"><div class=\"panel-heading\"><h4 class=\"panel-title toggle\"><a aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-selected=\"false\" aria-controls=\"2d616dd014f576c9d\" role=\"tab\" data-toggle=\"collapse\" data-parent=\"#accordion-2516-1\" data-target=\"#2d616dd014f576c9d\" href=\"#2d616dd014f576c9d\"><span class=\"fusion-toggle-icon-wrapper\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><i class=\"fa-fusion-box\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/span><span class=\"fusion-toggle-heading\">What if I want to take courses at another college or university? <\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div><div id=\"2d616dd014f576c9d\" class=\"panel-collapse collapse \"><div class=\"panel-body toggle-content fusion-clearfix\">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With permission, you may pay to take course(s) at another institution as a visiting student. However, the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Black &amp; Gold<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Scholarship only covers the tuition and fees for Missouri Western courses. The scholarship cannot be used for non-Missouri Western courses or programs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Also, remember that if you do not enroll at Missouri Western on a full-time basis (12-credits) during fall or spring, you will forfeit the scholarship unless the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Executive Scholarship Committee has<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> granted approval. You may also appeal if you are unable to fulfill a requirement of the award (i.e. full-time or consecutive enrollment, etc.)\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition, all scholarship awards are based on the availability of funds, and may be adjusted accordingly if funds are not available.
