style=\"color:#747474;\">\n<p>The Student Employment Program at Missouri Western State University provides part-time employment to undergraduate and graduate students to help with college expenses.<\/p>\n<p>Federal Work-Study (FWS) is a form of financial aid awarded to students who demonstrate financial need and meet federal eligibility requirements. You must complete the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/h\/apply-for-aid\/fafsa\">Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)<\/a>\u00a0and submit all requested documentation (if applicable). As with other federal financial aid programs, you must complete a new FAFSA each year for continued consideration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If you are eligible,<\/strong> your FWS award will be listed on your financial aid offer.\u00a0Missouri Western cannot guarantee employment to all eligible students.\u00a0You must\u00a0apply for open positions on campus, go through an interview process and be hired by the department. There are many opportunities to work on campus in FWS positions. Job positions can be either on-campus or off-campus. Off-campus positions will be at private nonprofit agencies or public agencies and will be in the public interest.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-column content-box-column content-box-column content-box-column-3 col-lg-12 col-md-12 col-sm-12 fusion-content-box-hover content-box-column-last-in-row\"><div class=\"col content-box-wrapper content-wrapper link-area-link-icon icon-hover-animation-none\" style=\"background-color:rgba(255,255,255,0);\" data-animationOffset=\"100%\"><div class=\"heading icon-left\"><h2 class=\"content-box-heading\" style=\"font-size:18px;line-height:23px;\">Eligibility<\/h2><\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><div class=\"content-container\" style=\"color:#747474;\">\n<p>To check your eligibility, log into Goldlink, locate the Financial Aid card, select Visit Financial Aid Self Service, and then select Award Offer. Under the Work section you can see your Federal Work-Study Eligibility.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-column content-box-column content-box-column content-box-column-4 col-lg-12 col-md-12 col-sm-12 fusion-content-box-hover content-box-column-last-in-row\"><div class=\"col content-box-wrapper content-wrapper link-area-link-icon icon-hover-animation-none\" style=\"background-color:rgba(255,255,255,0);\" data-animationOffset=\"100%\"><div class=\"heading icon-left\"><h2 class=\"content-box-heading\" style=\"font-size:18px;line-height:23px;\">Earnings<\/h2><\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><div class=\"content-container\" style=\"color:#747474;\">\n<p>Missouri Western student employees are paid on a monthly basis. Your paycheck will be sent directly to you and will not automatically apply toward your bill. You will earn the current federal minimum wage for the hours you work. The amount of money you earn cannot exceed your total FWS award.<\/p>\n<p>Although FWS wages are considered taxable, the money you earn from\u00a0FWS\u00a0will not\u00a0be used to determine your financial need when filing your FAFSA for the following year.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-column content-box-column content-box-column content-box-column-5 col-lg-12 col-md-12 col-sm-12 fusion-content-box-hover content-box-column-last-in-row\"><div class=\"col content-box-wrapper content-wrapper link-area-link-icon icon-hover-animation-none\" style=\"background-color:rgba(255,255,255,0);\" data-animationOffset=\"100%\"><div class=\"heading icon-left\"><h2 class=\"content-box-heading\" style=\"font-size:18px;line-height:23px;\">Hours<\/h2><\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><div class=\"content-container\" style=\"color:#747474;\">\n<p>When assigning work hours, your\u00a0supervisor will consider your total FWS award and your class schedule.
