Missouri Western Scholarships - Out-of-State Waivers

Griffon Rate
Undergraduate and graduate students who are US citizens from select counties  in Illinois, Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska will be admitted to Missouri Western  State University under the Griffon Rate and be eligible to pay the equivalent of  in-state tuition.  More Information.

 

Midwest Student Exchange (Partial Out-Of-State Tuition Waiver)
This program was established by the Midwestern Higher Education Commission to increase interstate educational opportunities for student of its member states. The program allows residents of Indiana; Kansas; Michigan; Minnesota; Nebraska; North Dakota and Wisconsin to enroll in specific designated programs at reduced tuition rates. Through MSEP; Missouri Western will charge eligible students no more than 150% of the in-state resident tuition rate for specific programs. To qualify for the program: First-time freshman must have earned a minimum ACT composite score of 21 and a GPA of 3.00 for all high school coursework; Transfer students must have earned a 3.00 GPA for all college level coursework. Recipients must maintain a 3.00 GPA for renewal. This award may not be combined with the Neighboring States Scholarship or the Western Frontier Scholarship.

Missouri Western Frontier Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to students who are not residents of Missouri and score a minimum composite of 23 on the ACT. The award cannot be combined with the Midwest Student Exchange Program or the Neighboring States Scholarship. The scholarship is valued at up to $1,500 per year. Recipients must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA for renewal.

Neighboring States Scholarship (Out-Of-State Tuition Waiver)
This scholarship is awarded annually to full-time students who are residents of a Missouri neighboring state (Kansas; Iowa; Nebraska; Oklahoma; Illinois; Arkansas; Kentucky and Tennessee). The award is valued at the difference between in- and out-of-state tuition. To qualify: First-time freshman must have earned a minimum ACT composite score of 21 and a GPA of 3.00 for all high school coursework; Transfer students must have earned a 3.00 GPA for all college level coursework. Recipients must live in the residence halls and maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA for renewal. This award may not be combined with the Midwest Student Exchange Program or the Western Frontier Scholarship.
