Once a student is enrolled in a dual credit\/dual enrollment class, the G number is sent to the dual credit\/dual enrollment teacher who, in turn, provides the information to the student. The G number is located in the upper right portion of the student bill.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-menu-anchor\" id=\"transcripts\"><\/div><div class=\"fusion-sep-clear\"><\/div><div class=\"fusion-separator fusion-full-width-sep\" style=\"margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;margin-top:50px;width:100%;\"><\/div><div class=\"fusion-sep-clear\"><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-5\" style=\"transform:translate3d(0,0,0);\"><h3>Ordering Transcripts<\/h3>\n<p><b>Cost:\u00a0<\/b>$10.00 per copy (due when transcript request is submitted). Transcripts will not be released if a debt exists with the university.<\/p>\n<p><b>Procedure:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Missouri Western State University offers transcript ordering online through the National Student Clearinghouse. The link for this site, as well as information on procedures, cost and delivery methods can be found on the Registrar\u2019s Office website:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/registrar\/transcripts\/\">Transcript Requests<\/a><\/li>\n<li>For questions about the transcript request process, please call (816) 271-4211.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-menu-anchor\" id=\"mathplacement\"><\/div><div class=\"fusion-sep-clear\"><\/div><div class=\"fusion-separator fusion-full-width-sep\" style=\"margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;margin-top:50px;width:100%;\"><\/div><div class=\"fusion-sep-clear\"><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-6\" style=\"transform:translate3d(0,0,0);\"><h3>Math Placement Exam<\/h3>\n<p>A passing score on the math placement exam may be used as an alternate qualifier for MAT112 Finite Mathematics, MAT116 College Algebra, MAT119 Trigonometry or CHE111 General Chemistry.<\/p>\n<p><strong>STEP 1: Registering for the exam<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>If you already have a MWSU student ID (G) number<\/strong>, you can access study materials and the practice exam at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/csmp\/mathematics-placement-exam\/\">https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/csmp\/mathematics-placement-exam\/<\/a>.\u00a0 If you do not know your G number, please contact the ECA office at 816-271-4121.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If you do not have a G number<\/strong>, you will need to create an account through the Early College Academy Slate registration portal (use the gold <strong>Register <\/strong>button at the top of this page).\u00a0 After creating your account, your G number is issued within 1-2 business days.\u00a0 You can obtain your G number by logging back in to your ECA Slate registration portal (<strong>Returning Students<\/strong>), where your G number will be displayed.\u00a0 An email with the G number will also be sent to the personal address that you provided in the ECA Slate registration portal.<\/p>\n<p>Once you have your G number, you can access the <strong>Mathematics Placement Exam Topic List<\/strong>, the unproctored <strong>Sample Mathematics Placement Exam<\/strong>, and the proctored <strong>Math Placement Exam Appointment Request<\/strong> \u00a0at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/csmp\/mathematics-placement-exam\/\">https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/csmp\/mathematics-placement-exam\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>When you are logging in to access the materials, you will use your G number for your username and your birth month in two digits and birth date in two digits for your password (mm\/dd).<\/p>\n<p><strong>STEP 2: Taking the exam<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to the following website to request for your exam appointment:\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/csmp\/mathematics-placement-exam\/\">https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/csmp\/mathematics-placement-exam\/<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Click on <strong>Math Placement Exam Appointment Request<\/strong> under <strong>MPE RESOURCES<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please note that the exam can instead be proctored at your high school by an instructor, counselor, or administrator that is registered to do so through Missouri Western&#8217;s ECA. <em>If you are an instructor, counselor, or administrator interested in proctoring an exam, please email <a href=\"mailto:eca@missouriwestern.edu\">grice1@missouriwestern.edu<\/a> for more information.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>STEP 3: Obtaining your exam results<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Your exam results will be sent to your email address. If you have not activated your Missouri Western account, you will need to receive your score from the high school instructor, counselor, or administrator that proctored the exam.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Additional information:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You may view instructional videos and complete electronic sample problems or worksheet problems for any of the 12 topics that you feel you need to work on. Just click on the topic, then the help page, and you will see all resources for that topic.<\/li>\n<li>You may complete the proctored math placement exam multiple times; however, you cannot take the exam more than 1 time per week.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Please be sure to have your login and password when you take the exam.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-menu-anchor\" id=\"benefits\"><\/div><div class=\"fusion-sep-clear\"><\/div><div class=\"fusion-separator fusion-full-width-sep\" style=\"margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;margin-top:50px;width:100%;\"><\/div><div class=\"fusion-sep-clear\"><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-7\" style=\"transform:translate3d(0,0,0);\"><h3>Student Benefits<\/h3>\n<p>Dual credit\/dual enrollment students are considered Missouri Western State University students:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"list\">\n<li>Students are eligible for a Griffon Card, the Missouri Western student ID card.<\/li>\n<li>Students may use and borrow materials from the Missouri Western library.<\/li>\n<li>Students may attend cultural and athletic events at the Missouri Western student rate, which is usually free.<\/li>\n<li>Students may use the Baker Family Fitness Center and recreational facilities at no charge.<\/li>\n<li>Students receive a Missouri Western parking permit.<\/li>\n<li>Students receive a free Missouri Western t-shirt.<\/li>\n<li>Students may use the Center for Academic Support.<\/li>\n<li>Students are eligible for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/student-life\/2018\/08\/01\/discounts-available-for-students\/\">discounts throughout the community<\/a> with their Griffon Card.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Dual credit\/dual enrollment courses help prepare students for the rigors of university classes.<\/p>\n<p>They enrich and extend the high school curriculum, provide introductory college coursework at about half the cost of college tuition, challenge students and introduce students to the university.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, they allow students to complete required general education courses and electives.<\/p>\n<p>Each course provides multiple assessments throughout and awards college credit immediately upon successful completion of the class.<\/p>\n<p>Dual credit\/dual enrollment students may enroll in up to 18 hours of college coursework per semester. The student may complete a Federal Buckley Amendment Release form granting Missouri Western permission to communicate with a designated individual.<\/p>\n<p>The student will attend classes without the accompaniment of a parent or guardian. Requests for exemption from this release form policy (e.g., due to specific disabilities) should be sent to the Early College Academy.
