  • Spring semester 2020 – No classes on campus but semester continues with alternative and flexible course delivery.
  • HR has updated the remote work and leave policies.
  • Starting Monday, March 23 we are going to start transitioning largely to a remote workforce wherever possible.  We anticipate that this effort will continue at least through Friday, April 24.
  • Baker Family Fitness Center, Hearnes Library, Looney Complex, Griffon Indoor Sports Complex and all academic buildings will be closed to the public for the time being (employees working in buildings will still have keyed access).

Remote Worker IT Resources

IT Services has compiled a set of resources for employees describing how to access essential services while working remotely at griff.vn/remote. Many of the services require the installation and usage of a VPN (Virtual Private Network) client on the remote computer. Instructions may be found on the website. Counseling Center Telecounseling

The Counseling Center is now offering telephone and video counseling. Students who wish to utilize these services and schedule an appointment should complete this form: https://mwsu.titaniumhwc.com/  or call the office phone number at (816) 271-4327.  We will continue to have counselors available daily, from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Additionally, Student Affairs continues to support faculty during this transition. Electronic Absence Report

The electronic absence report is now live. Employees who need to complete an absence report will find the absence report in the same location as always: https://intranet.missouriwestern.edu/faculty-staff/forms/ The steps for completing the electronic report are as follows: Employee completes and submits electronically. Supervisor gets an email to approve. Supervisor clicks link in their email. Supervisor approves and submits. Absence reports goes to Nicki.
