Spring Commencement Ceremony Rescheduled

Missouri Western State University has rescheduled its Spring Commencement ceremony for Family Weekend this fall. The ceremony for students who earned their degrees in the spring semester and in the summer term will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 20, 2020, in the Looney Complex Arena. Spring and Summer 2020 graduates who are unable to participate in the September 20 commencement will be invited to participate in the December 2020 commencement ceremony on December 19, 2020. City of St. Joseph Shelter in Place

St. Joseph has issued a shelter-in-place ordinance in effect from 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, March 24 through 11:59 p.m. Thursday, April 2. Because educational institutions and government entities are deemed “essential” to community operations, our campus and operations are exempt from this new order.
