  • Spring semester 2020 – No classes on campus but semester continues with alternative and flexible course delivery.
  • Faculty will contact students about Spring Semester Culminating Experience options by the end of the day on March 23.
  • Students must choose a grade option for each of their classes no later than Friday, April 24. A full list of Spring 2020 Course and Grade Deadlines can be found here.
  • Traditional May commencement ceremonies are suspended.
  • Missouri Western Bookstore will be will be closed until April 2. Students can return their books from home with a pre-paid UPS label.
  • Students with belongings in residence halls will have the opportunity to retrieve them by April 1. Students who do not return to the residence halls will receive a prorated credit on their Missouri Western account. See Residential Life for more details.
  • Baker Family Fitness Center, Hearnes Library, Looney Complex, Griffon Indoor Sports Complex and all academic buildings will be closed to the public for the time being.
  • Our Counseling Center now offers telecounseling. Students who would like access to this service should complete this form. Counselors will be available 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday with options for telephone and video conferencing.

Residential Life

Residents, You have not yet checked out of the Residence Halls. Please read this in its entirety for complete checkout instructions. All residents must vacate the halls by April 1. The City of Saint Joseph has issued a Stay At Home order effective at 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, and continuing until 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2020. (updated 3/23/2020) Free Shipping We are offering free regular ground shipping for all orders placed through the Missouri Western Bookstore website.
