Drumline Camp - July 13-16, 2014
The Missouri Western Drumline Camp is a program designed to give high school percussionists (Grades 7-12) a hands on experience with contemporary marching percussion. Both traditional and corps-style approaches will be explored focusing on fundamentals of technique and playing. Areas of timing, phrasing, line uniformity and ensemble interpretation will be emphasized under the direction of an experienced staff.
Students will be placed in individual drumlines for full line and sectional rehearsals. Their activities will culminate with a performance for parents and friends. The campers’ drumline experience will provide them with the tools and information necessary to enhance their school drumline/marching band performance.
