Job Description: The Student Assistant will work directly with the Administrative Coordinator for Student Development, assisting with many different tasks in the Division of Student Affairs – preparation of accounting forms, issuing memos, creating and updating files. The Student Assistant also will assist in the planning and implementation of programming. Responsibilities also include general clerical duties and the delivery of confidential documents to other campus locations.
Qualifications: A desire to learn about the ins and outs of the Division of Student Affairs and an interest in pursuing higher education as a career. An attitude of school spirit and an active role in campus life is preferred. Office/clerical experience and knowledge of commonly used practices and procedures are required. Skilled usage of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel also required. The ability to complete tasks in a timely manner, pay close attention to detail and interact effectively with students, staff and administrators are necessary skills. Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality.
