Business Minor

Your Access to Extended Opportunities

To graduate with a minor in business, you must complete the requirements for a baccalaureate major and the general degree requirements of CSB. To be awarded a minor, you must earn at least a GPA of 2.0. You are eligible for a general business minor as long as you are majoring outside the Craig School of Business. Minors available through the Craig School of Business:

International Studies-Designed to give you exposure to international issues from different perspectives around the world. Because of the growing globalization of business, knowledge about practices on an international level is very important.

Finance (available to accounting majors only)- Minoring in finance will give you a well-rounded knowledge base of the field of finance. You will learn about financial management, investing, international finance, securities, money and banking.

General Business (available to non-business majors only)- Designed for non-business majors, this minor will give you a great foundation for a career in any business-related career.

Entrepreneurship (available to all majors)- Designed for all majors to learn what it takes to start up and operate your own business.  The minor will help you develop an “entrepreneurial mindset,” where you will learn skills that increase your ability to identify opportunities for innovation and change.

 

Center-for-EntrepreneurshipA unique program in the Craig School of Business enables alumni and business seniors to become entrepreneurs by enrolling in MGT 417, an applied entrepreneurship class that involves writing and presenting a business plan for a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory (RMCF) store. A panel of judges listens to the presentations and selects the winner(s).
