Starting the Path to Your Future

Once you have decided that Missouri Western State University is the right destination for you and admission to the Craig School of Business holds the opportunities you seek, it’s time to complete the admission process. Before you can register for admission to the Craig School of Business, you need to complete admission to Missouri Western State University. If this important step has been completed, you’re ready to embark on the next leg of your journey to a career in business.

The Steven L. Craig School of Business has adopted entrance requirements for the BSBA degree program so that you are placed in classes with your peers where you can learn together and from each other. The first step in declaring a major in business administration is to declare your intent for admission to the Craig School of Business by completing a pre-major form if your ACT composite is less than 23, or a major form is your ACT composite is 23 or greater. At that time, you will be assigned a business advisor who can assist you in career planning and selecting a course of study.

All students with an ACT composite score of 23 or greater will be admitted without review upon completion of an application for admission to the program. Applications for admittance should be submitted at least one week prior to attempting registration in courses restricted to majors. Applications for transfer students (upon their request) will be given a preliminary review before MWSU’s pre- or regular registration sessions.

If you have an ACT composite score below 23, you must earn a grade point average equal to or greater than 2.5 from at least 36 university credit hours including a grade of C or better in the following courses:
