The photography program supports many types of formal means of expression from very autobiographical work, studio and commercial work, photojournalism and documentary work. Traditional processes, alternative processes and cutting-edge digital imaging are taught in an interdisciplinary manner. Rigorous applied courses are balanced with investigation into the rich history of the medium, philosophy, and criticism. Visiting professional artists bring exhibits, workshops and lectures to the campus. Bachelors of Fine Art (B.F.A.) degree is offered in this concentration of study.
