Missouri Western State University (MWSU) Department of Art offers a Bachelors of Fine Art (B.F.A.) in Graphic Design. The MWSU Graphic Design B.F.A. curriculum is designed to give instruction in a broad base of skills and provide courses that are increasingly specific to each student’s area of interest. Students complete courses in typography, illustration, photography, interactive design, advertising design and print design. Students are required to participate in the Sophomore Review during their second year and enroll in Senior Projects and Final Portfolio during their final two semesters. Internships, offered in the student’s final year, advance the educational process by extending the curriculum into the business world.
