The 2024 Conference on Applied Learning in Higher Education (CALHE) held on the Missouri Western State University campus in St. Joseph, MO on March 7th & 8th, 2024. This year’s conference theme “Barriers to Engagement in Applied Learning” will focus on barriers and solutions to engagement from the perspective of students, faculty, programs, and institutions.
CALHE 2024 will feature a keynote address titled “Are internships a stepping stone or a gatekeeper?: Addressing barriers of access and success for college internships” by Dr. Matt Wolfgram, University of Wisconsin, Center for College-Workforce Transition (CCWT). Matt is an anthropologist of education whose work focuses on a variety of areas related to education access barriers. As with past conferences, students may register for free.
Cost of Attendance: $75 for non MWSU attendees
MWSU faculty and staff should contact the GOAL office for a discount code.
Students are free to attend.
Registration fees include all conference activities and meals.
