{"id":4301,"date":"2019-01-11T13:09:32","date_gmt":"2019-01-11T19:09:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/alumni\/?p=4301"},"modified":"2019-01-11T13:09:32","modified_gmt":"2019-01-11T19:09:32","slug":"three-griffons-named-don-hansen-all-region-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.missouriwestern.edu\/alumni\/2019\/01\/11\/three-griffons-named-don-hansen-all-region-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Three Griffons named Don Hansen All-region"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span>Three members of the Griffon football team were named to the Don Hansen All-Super Region Three Team.\u00a0<\/span><dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/gogriffons.com\/roster.aspx?rp_id=3380\" rel=\"smarttag\" rev=\"3380\" id=\"sidearmAd1\">Brandin Dandridge<\/a><\/dfn><span>\u00a0was named first-team return specialist and third-team defensive back.\u00a0<\/span><dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/gogriffons.com\/roster.aspx?rp_id=3483\" rel=\"smarttag\" rev=\"3483\" id=\"sidearmAd2\">Tyler Basch<\/a><\/dfn><span>\u00a0was named second-team kicker and\u00a0<\/span><dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/gogriffons.com\/roster.aspx?rp_id=3420\" rel=\"smarttag\" rev=\"3420\" id=\"sidearmAd3\">Hayden Eatinger<\/a><\/dfn><span>\u00a0was named to the third-team offensive line.<\/span><br \/>\n<span>\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span>Dandridge was also a first-team All-MIAA selection as a returner and a second-team selection at defensive back. The senior averaged 13 yards per punt return with one touchdown and a long return of 58 yards. At cornerback, Dandridge led the MIAA with 15 passes defended and was tied for second in the conference with four interceptions.<\/span><br \/>\n<span>\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span>Basch was also a second-team All-MIAA selection at kicker. In his senior season, Basch went 13-for-17 on field goal attempts, including an MWSU record tying 58-yard field goal in the Agent Barry Live United Bowl.<\/span><br \/>\n<span>\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span>Eatinger picked up his second postseason honor of 2018 after being named first-team All-MIAA. The junior center started all 11 games on an offensive line that helped pave the way for the Griffons&#8217; 229-yard per game rushing average and an MIAA-best 5.6 yards per carry average. Eatinger also anchored the group that allowed an MIAA-low six sacks all season.<\/span><br \/>\n<span>\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span>The Don Hansen team carries out the legacy of long-time small college football advocate Don Hansen, who passed away at age 75 in 2010.
