How much is an Alumni Facilities Membership?
Alumni can purchase an annual single membership for $200 and a family membership for $250. New graduates can purchase a membership for $100 (Single) and $150 (Family) within one year of commencement. The New Graduate Membership renews at the general Alumni rate after initial year membership expires.
Who is Eligible?
Graduates of Missouri Western and individuals who attended St. Joseph Junior College are eligible to use the recreational facilities during specified free time hours with membership purchase.
Where can I purchase the Alumni Facilities Membership and what do I need to bring with me?
To purchase your Recreation Facilities Membership, please visit the University Advancement Office located in Spratt Hall Room 106. You must bring your full annual payment-cash, check or credit card (Visa, MasterCard or Discover) along with the names, date of birth and social security number of your family members, if applicable.
What facilities are included in the Recreation Facilities Membership?
The Alumni Facilities Membership includes the pool, racquetball courts, arena, gymnasium and Baker Family Fitness Center.
What are the guidelines for a family membership?
The family membership includes the spouse of an alumnus/a and his/her children between the ages of 16-23 who reside in the same household. Each family member over the age of 15 will need a Facility Membership ID Card.
Can I bring guests with my membership?
Alumni are not permitted to bring guests to the Recreational Facilities.
Are there restrictions on the membership?
Yes, the Fitness Center requires a physician’s consent form for men over the age of 45 and women over the age of 55. No one under the age of 12 will be admitted into the Fitness Center. Individuals aged 12-15 will only be allowed to work out in the Fitness Center under the direct supervision of a parent or guardian. If an individual is under 18, he/she must have a liability form and a permission-for-care form signed by his/her parents before being allowed to use the Fitness Center.
The pool, racquetball courts, arena and gymnasium are open to all family members (children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian).
What are the hours of the facilities?
Operation hours may vary due to classes, athletics, special events and campus breaks. Changes in the schedule will be posted at the front desk of the Fitness Center. Any questions regarding the Fitness Center hours can be answered by calling (816) 271-5947.
Where do I get my Facility Membership ID card?
Once you have purchased a membership, each family member 16 or older will need to visit the Parking & Security Services Office located in Blum Union Room 100, where they will be issued their own ID card.
