Events are listed below.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u>Tuesday, Jan. 17<\/u><\/p>\n<p>MLK Pledge Day<\/p>\n<p>11 a.m.- 1 p.m. \u2013 Blum Lobby<\/p>\n<p>Sign a pledge and be in our video to honor Martin Luther King Jr.\u2019s life and nonviolent work by helping make this world a better, more just place for all people.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u>Wednesday, Jan. 18<\/u><\/p>\n<p>MLK Drum Major for Justice Banquet<\/p>\n<p>6 p.m. \u2013 Enright Community Room 214-216<\/p>\n<p>Banquet featuring live jazz music by Elder Statesman of KC Jazz\u2019s Little Big Band and live poetry by Dominique Christina. Immediately following we will hold a candlelight vigil on the Kelley Commons<\/p>\n<p>RSVP by Jan. 11 by emailing <a href=\"mailto:cme@missouriwestern.edu\">cme@missouriwestern.edu<\/a> or calling (816) 271-4150. This is a free event.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u>Thursday, Jan. 19<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Movie Night: \u201cSelma\u201d<\/p>\n<p>6 p.m. \u2013 Blum 218<\/p>\n<p>Free popcorn provided.<\/p>\n<p>Despite violent opposition, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. (David Oyelowo) and his followers pressed forward on an epic march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama.
