The International Center, located in Blum Union, is a resource set up for our international students. Dedicated staff members help guide those students through their educational experience at Missouri Western. They provide a variety of services to our international students, including new student orientation, cultural adjustment seminars, service learning opportunities and assistance in maintaining good immigration status while at the university.

In addition to the services that the center provides, each semester the office hosts many international events, student mixers and fun activities. Your student will have the opportunity to experience many cultures while at Missouri Western. Each year, the International Center hosts the International Fair, where each country sets up a booth with information, food and activities related to their home country. It is a very popular event attended by many Missouri Western and St. Joseph community members. In addition to the International Fair, the center plans celebrations for Chinese New Year, Día de los Muertos (Mexican Day of the Dead), Holi (Hindu festival of colors), Diwali (Hindu festival of lights) and more.

Encourage your student to attend an international center event next semester. They will learn a lot about different cultures and make many new friends!
