Welcome to the Department of Computer Science, Mathematics, and Physics (CSMP). Our faculty are dedicated to teaching and research. The faculty are very knowledgeable, patient, available, and willing to help our students. The faculty’s research areas include biomathematics, abstract algebra, differential equations, mathematics education, and physics education. Our faculty regularly serve as reviewers for academic journals and textbooks, organizers for regional and national conferences, and as consultants for business and legislatures.
In addition to teaching, the department provides students with numerous applied learning opportunities: undergraduate research, internships, and service projects. CSMP students regularly present at academic conferences. Our students have won many awards and honors including Gold Medals at the International Genetically Engineered Machines Jamboree (iGEM), First and Second Place at the National Collegiate Conference of the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP). CSMP students receive a quality education that goes beyond the classroom. Feel free to contact us should you have any questions.
