The Office of Academic Affairs, led by Dr. Jeanne Daffron, Provost, ensures the quality and integrity of all academic programs.  Here you will find access to the information and resources that make up the university’s rich academic life. At Western, students’ experiences inside and outside the classroom are seamlessly integrated in an environment where faculty, staff and students live, learn and serve the broader community.

2015 Senior Art Exhibit – The 2015 Senior Art Exhibit ​group one will be on display in the Potter Art Gallery from March 25-April 5, with an opening reception March 25 from 5-7 p.m. Group two will be on display from April 8-19, with an opening reception April 8 from 5-7 p.m.

Co-founder of MK12 on Campus – Tim Fisher, co-founder of MK12, a design and filmmaking collective, gave an artist’s talk on Tuesday, March 24 in the Kemper Recital Hall on the MWSU campus. Tim is an artist whose design and filmmaking collective work constantly challenges the boundaries between narrative structure and experimental storytelling. MK12 has been sought after to direct numerous commercial and network-based projects and has provided graphic design, animation and film titles for feature films such as Quantum of Solace, The Internet’s Own Boy and Particle Fever. MK12’s experimental and short film catalogue has been featured in many international film festivals and exhibitions over ​the last ​15 years. Their film Overload — a collaboration with NY-based painter Brian Alfred — was inducted into the Guggenheim’s permanent collection. The artist’s talk was funded by the MWSU Foundation and sponsored by the MWSU Art Department. Approximately 100 from MSWU and the community attended.

ETAC Banquet – On Monday March 23, 2015 the 5th Annual MWSU Engineering Technology Awards Banquet was held. The ETAC committee is made up of local industry leaders Alan Landes and Kyle Phillips from Herzog Contracting Corp., Ronald Auxier from Ellison-Auxier Architects, Inc., Zane Brickey from Lawhon Construction Company and Ryan Schultz from R/S Electric Construction. The presenting sponsors this year were Thomas McGee, L.C. and J.E. Dunn Construction. Many other companies joined as platinum and gold sponsors as well. These industry leaders and the department of Engineering Technology were proud to present the Engineering Technology Excellence award to recipient Joe Gray ’42 and the Engineering Technology Student Excellence Award to recipient Lauren Fletcher, a senior at MWSU.

Colleges and Units
