Members of the Missouri Western Opera Theater were special guests of the facility director, Patrick Donnelly, of the new Kauffman Performing Arts Center in Kansas City, Mo., on Oct. 4. They were treated to lunch at the Webster House across the street from the center, then had a 2-hour tour which took them behind the scenes of the workings of the new facility. They even were given the chance to sing on the stage of one of the theaters, and chose the Missouri Western Alma Mater. Mark your calendars: the Opera Theater company will present family friendly performances of the children's operas "Little Red Riding Hood" and "Monkey See, Monkey Do" on Nov. 12 and 13.
