This past weekend, we got underway with our production of Phantom by taking a mold of Ray Johnson's face for the masks for the show. The masks are going to be designed by our colleagues Erik Fuson and David Harris in the Art Department. In these pictures, Ray submitted himself to lying in a chair in the floor of one of the art rooms for almost an hour while Erik and Bekah Quillin covered his face in strips of plaster. Once it hardened, we had a mold of his face that Erik and David could use to sculpt the masks for the show! Exciting!
