General Information
Tickets
All ticket sales are final, no refunds.
Any unclaimed tickets are subject to release and resale. Will Call ticket holders are guaranteed admission until 5 minutes prior to curtain time, at which time their seats may be released and their tickets voided in the event of a sold-out performance. We are unable to issue refunds or exchanges to any tickets unclaimed at curtain time. We ask patrons to call the box office if they are unable to attend on any designated night they may have tickets purchased in advance.
We are pleased to offer online ticket sales through Vendini Tickets. Tickets may now be purchased online with Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover cards. E-tickets can be instantly printed once your transaction is completed or you may select to pick them up at “Will Call” at the Box Office prior to the performance or have them mailed. Your credit card will be billed by our electronic Box Office Agent and your statement will note “Vendini Tickets” and not MWSU Theatre. Please see the Privacy Policy for further information.
We are no longer accepting checks at this time. Sorry of the inconvenience.
We gladly exchange subscription tickets or individual tickets to a different performance of the same play, but there are no refunds. Some ticket upgrades may involve an additional cost. To make an exchange, return tickets to the Potter Hall Box Office by mail or in person no less than 24 hours prior to the date printed on your current ticket. All ticket exchanges will be charged a $2 per ticket exchange fee.
No ticket refunds or exchanges on promotional offers.
Performance Times
Curtain times are 7:30 PM for all evening performances and 3:00 PM on Sundays, unless otherwise noted.
The house and seating opens half hour prior to performance.
Will Call
Will Call is located in the lobby of the Potter Hall Theatre. The Will Call window opens 1 hour prior to curtain for each show. Be sure to bring photo ID, the credit card that was used to make the purchase and/or your Vendini/MWSU Theatre order number as any of these may be required for pickup. Will Call tickets not claimed 5 minutes prior to curtain will be released for resale.
Seating
All performances start promptly and are reserved seating. As a courtesy to other patrons, latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the house manager at an appropriate break in the action on stage. For some events, latecomers may be asked to sit in at the rear of the theatre until intermission. No refunds will be made for latecomers.
In some cases, often depending on the production, a director may specifically request that there be no late seating; and in order to preserve the artistic experience, we will honor that request. We encourage all patrons to arrive at the theatre early.
House Rules and Policies
Every person admitted must have a ticket. No "babes in arms" or children in laps are permitted. Please turn off all electronic devices when you enter the theatre. The use of cameras and/or recording devices is strictly prohibited. Please do not text in the theatre, as it is disruptive to other patrons, as well as interferes with our sound system.

If a performance is sold out, patrons may request to be placed on the standby list. If seats are available at 5 minutes until curtain time, standby guests will be allowed to purchase tickets on a first-come, first-served basis, provided that all guests in their party are present. Waiting patrons may be asked to wait in a standby line in order to comply with safety regulations. Missouri Western Theatre & Cinema does not guarantee that a show will be held past the published start time; patrons receiving their tickets late will be seated at the discretion of the House Manager.
We reserve the right to refuse admission or eject any person whose conduct is deemed unbecoming or interferes with the audience’s ability to enjoy the performance in the manner in which it was intended. Where it may be appropriate to come and go at will or openly converse with others when at the cinema, it is not so at the theatre. The staff has the right to enforce our rules for patron comfort.
For the comfort and safety of everyone, please do not bring the following items into the theatre: strollers, large backpacks, alcohol, cans, bottles, weapons of any kind, pets. Due to most artist requests, no professional recording devices are allowed. Cell phones and laptop computers should be turned off. Pagers may be left with the House Manager – please inform him/her of your seat row/number in the auditorium in the event that you are paged during a performance. Potter Hall Theatre is a non-smoking facility.

Disability Accommodations
Missouri Western State University is dedicated to providing a campus environment that is safe and accessible for students, staff, faculty and visitors with a wide variety of abilities and disabilities. The following information is provided for your convenience and is related specifically to events held in the Potter Theatre.
There are a limited number of accessible parking spaces located on the north side of Potter Hall that are specifically reserved for people with disabilities. To access this parking area, take the driveway on the north side of Potter Hall.
From the accessible parking area, there is an accessible route which leads from the Northeast corner of the building all the way through to the auditorium. People using this parking area, should enter the building through the automatic door on the north side of the building then turn left and follow the short hallway until it intersects with the longer hallway. Then turn right and follow this hallway all the way through the building until you reach the auditorium at the west end of the building.
There are accessible restrooms available on the ground floor of Potter Hall near the east end of the building.
If you are a person with mobility impairment, the most accessible seating location is behind the last row of seats at the back of the auditorium. There are other places throughout the theatre to park a wheelchair or scooter but it should be noted that the only location within the theatre that does not have sloped floor is at the back of the auditorium.
The auditorium is wired for the use of assistive listening equipment. If you have a hearing impairment and would like to utilize this equipment, please contact an usher or someone at the box office.
Service animals accompanying individuals with disabilities are welcome in all areas of campus that are open to the public.
If you need sign language interpreting services, please contact the Office of Disability Services at (816) 271– 4330 or e-mail your request to mritter@missouriwestern.edu. Requests for sign language interpreters must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
