Legislative Bills

A bill is used to revise or enact the SGA by-laws (cannot change constitution) create special committees, update or create Administrative Plans for SGA Branches, or allocate funds from either Special Projects or other branches. When we want to change the way SGA is currently operating, we draft a bill. When we need to allocate money for something, we draft a bill. And if we need to make a special committee to research or perform a specific action, we draft a bill. When a bill is passed, senate needs a majority vote of the, unless it allocates money, in which case you need a 2/3 vote of the Senate.
