Swimming Pool Rules

1. A valid MWSU I.D. is required before entering the pool.
2. NO RUNNING!
3. No hanging on the rope or the diving board.
4. No going to the bathroom in the pool.
5. One person on the board at a time.
6. No rough play allowed in the pool (dunking, sitting on shoulders, throwing people, pushing, shoving, hitting).
7. No floatation devices allowed on the board (kickboards, life jackets, or arm supporters).
8. One bounce on the board for each dive.
9. Use ladders to exit pool.
10. No playing on or around ladders and stairs.
11. No foul language in pool or surrounding area.
12. No diving in the shallow area – feet in first.
13. No public display of affection allowed.
14. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult - NO EXCEPTIONS.
15. When lap lane line is hooked, only lap swimmers are allowed in the area.
16. No going over the rope or lap lane lines.
17. NO flips or back dives are allowed from the sides, shallow or deep area of the pool.
18. No jumping or standing on kickboards.
19. Only lifeguards are allowed in storage area or first aid cabinet.
20. Obey the lifeguards at all times.
21. We reserve the right to deny privileges to the pool.
22. Faculty and staff may bring one guest or immediate family members.
23. Students may bring one guest or immediate family members.
24. Alumni members with single membership cannot bring guests.
25. Alumni members with couple membership can only bring their spouse.
26. Alumni family pass is only immediate family (this goes down, not up) and no guests.
27. Gold Coat Club members with single membership cannot bring guest.
28. Gold Coat Club members with couple membership can only bring their spouse.
29. Gold Coat Club members with family membership can only bring their immediate family (this goes down, not up) and no guests.
30. Do NOT vent your opinions to the lifeguards. They are there to enforce the rules that have been set as guidelines for everyone’s safety.
