Gangs 101
This 3-day training was developed by the
Institute for Intergovernmental Research and the National
Youth Gang Alliance and will be delivered via the RCPI
National Network. This effort is made possible as a result
of a partnership between the Missouri-Regional Community
Policing Institute at Missouri Western State University and
the Bureau of Justice Assistance.
“Gangs 101” is designed for delivery at the
local level by the cadre of “Gangs 101” subject matter
experts who have been identified by the RCPI National
Network for delivery to local law enforcement attendees.
This training is designed to supplement
ongoing training efforts or to serve as a starting point for
agencies that wish to engage in more training both inside
and outside their organizations.
The course is presented in a three-day
format in ten modules. These modules include:
-
National Gang Overview

Why and How Youth Join Gangs
