Campus Crime Prevention Officer Training
This two-day course is designed to provide
campus police officers with the knowledge, skills, and
resources to lead crime prevention services for their
campus. The course will clearly distinguish the differences
between reacting to crimes and seeking to prevent them from
occurring.
Specific areas of training include:

Crime Prevention: Evolution to Current
Trends
-
Creating campus crime prevention
programs addressing: assaults and violence, drugs and
alcohol, awareness and prevention of sexual crimes,
campus thefts and vandalism, watch programs, and those
crimes and/or disorders unique to the participant’s
campus.

Crime Prevention Through Environmental
Design (CPTED)
-
Crime Officer’s role in the emergency
response system: Emergency Response Plan, all hazards
response, hot topics in emergency response.

Modern Crimes and Issues:
Internet/Computer crimes, identify theft, online social
sites, etc.
