Online Research Participation System Our department provides hands-on opportunities for undergraduates to become familiar with how research is conducted. Because you are a student in a 100 or 200 level psychology course at MWSU, you have the opportunity to be a participant in real psychology studies.* All studies are reviewed and approved in advance by the MWSU Institutional Review Board. When you arrive at each study, that study will be explained to you by a researcher and you will have a chance to ask any questions you may have about participation. Log-On to the Experiment Management System for studies throughout the semester as you want to earn course credit. You are encouraged to check the research study availability often. Each study is briefly described online. First Request an Account by clicking on ‘request an account here’ text and entering your user information. Basic Instructions (pdf)
If you are participating in research, it is likely that your instructor has asked you to participate in research in exchange for course credit. Please refer to your course syllabus or ask your instructor for details that are specific to your course (e.g., amount of credit you will receive, whether participation counts toward course credit or extra credit). Consider participating early in the semester as availability will decrease (e.g., many students trying to participate) at the end of the semester. *If you are under the age of 18 you may not be able to participate in research studies.
You may be able to complete "Research Option #2" as an alternative form of participation (please check your syllabus). |
