Dr. Vartabedian celebrates Western's
sixth straight year
of record enrollment
and reaching the 6,000 mark. The
official
Fall 2010 enrollment is 6,134. |

Drs. Robert and Laurel Vartabedian participate each year in the Apple Blossom, the Southside Fall Festival, and MWSU Homecoming parades in St. Joseph, Mo.

Dr. Vartabedian and Dr. Kevin Truman, dean of the UMKC School of Computing and Engineering, sign an agreement between the two universities that allows students to receive dual degrees from Western's department of engineering technology and UMKC's School of Computing and Engineering. |

Dr. Vartabedian the symbolic key to the Griffon Indoor
Sports Complex, which opened in July 2010 in time for
the Kansas City Chiefs summer training camp on Western's
campus. |

Gov. Jay Nixon visits with Dr. Vartabedian, Jeff Ellison
and Ron Auxier. Gov. Nixon was on campus to tour the
construction site of a new residence hall on Western's
campus. The hall is scheduled to open in the fall of
2011.

Dr. Vartabedian signs an exchange agreement with
the
National University of Tainan in Taiwan when
four faculty members and administrators from the
university
visited Western.

Wes and Patsy Remington, along with Dr. Vartabedian, cut
the ribbon to dedicate Remington Hall. In addition to
state funding, Wes and Patsy were major donors for the
new 60,000 sq. ft. science and math building.
