Greetings from the President
Welcome to Missouri Western! I am honored to be the president of
Missouri Western State University –
a University that has always
put students first. I am certainly pleased to be associated with
the faculty, staff, students, and alumni who through persistence
and hard work have helped to shape Missouri Western.
We have much to be proud of in recent years:
-
In the last three years, we have been the fastest growing
state university in Missouri.
-
We have completed four major construction projects in the
past two years totaling over 65 million dollars.
-
We have significantly enhanced the look of our campus and
have used external money to do so.
-
We have made major strides in the arts areas including a new
Missouri Western Arts Society that now has over 150 charter
members.
-
We continue to have impressive student and accreditation
outcomes in a broad spectrum of academic areas.
-
Finally, we have forged at least two very high-profile
partnerships with the Kansas City Chiefs and the Rocky
Mountain Chocolate Factory. In both cases, these
partnerships have put Missouri Western in the national
spotlight of professional athletics and entrepreneurship.
Missouri Western continues to evolve. Western's faculty and
staff are dedicated to building a strong university; a
university that is recognized for its ability to prepare
students for lives of meaning, service, and leadership. Whatever
your interest and whatever your degree choice - undergraduate,
graduate, or non-traditional - we encourage you to visit our
campus. We're confident you will "feel at home" here, and we
invite you to become part of the Western family.
Sincerely yours,

Robert A. Vartabedian, President
Missouri Western State University
P.S. Missouri Western is raising money to help deserving
students by offering Dr. Vartabedian's book,
Public Speaking: An Executive Summary, in exchange for a
donation to the Western Advantage Scholarship Fund. To find out
