Anyone involved with Missouri Western credit day or night classes – including but not limited to faculty, staff, contract employees and students – must register, with the Parking Services Office, any motor vehicle which is to be operated or parked on campus and must abide by all Campus Rules and Regulations at all times. Vehicles registered by students, part time and contract employees must display a current decal (permit) on the outside of the vehicle either on the passenger side rear bumper or lower passenger side rear window. Vehicles registered by full time faculty and staff must display a current hang tag (permit) on the rear view mirror or the front dash board of any vehicle parked on campus and must be able to produce the permit when operating a vehicle on campus. The hang tag need not be visible when the vehicle is moving; however, both decal and hang tag must be entirely visible and the number easily read at ALL times when the vehicle is parked in order to be considered valid. The University defines motor vehicle as any new or used automobile, mobile home, motorcycle, all-terrain vehicle, motorized bicycle, moped, motor-tricycle, truck, trailer, semi-trailer, truck trailer or bus primarily designed or used to transport person or property on a public highway, road or street. Hereafter called “vehicle”. The use of other vehicles (i.e., tractors, golf carts, four wheelers, motorized skateboards) on campus without the permission of the Police Department is prohibited.
Only after a motor vehicle has been properly registered may a registration decal be issued. Vehicle registration decals are valid from the day they are issued by the Parking and Security Services Office until the expiration date listed on the decal. Vehicle registration decals ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE between persons and/or vehicles. If a person changes vehicles, a replacement decal must be purchased.
Vehicles must be registered online by clicking the continue button at the bottom of this page.
The vehicle registration process is not complete until all information is verified, a decal has been issued by the Parking and Security Services Office, and that decal is permanently affixed to the right rear (passenger side) of the vehicle.
By registering a vehicle and receiving a parking decal or hang tag you acknowledge that you have read and understand the MWSU Parking Rules and Regulations. The link to view the MWSU Parking Rules and Regulations is: http://www.missouriwestern.edu/policedepartment/parking/rules.asp
