Writing Strategies and Software Uses

Writing Strategies and Software Uses is a graduate level class for teachers to investigate the uses of particular software and practice writing strategies.  Each class opens with a writing prompt.  Participants share some of their writing.  Exploring how using software and hardware can enhance their current curriculum to facilitate learning for all students was a big part of the class.  Participants took time to look for WebQuests that were appropriate to their grade level.  They also learned there are 5 other Web-and-Flow Activity Formats that allow teachers to structure guided use to Internet resources. They learned to create two of those activities.  By sharing and caring this group has learned a great deal during their eight weeks of class.

Anne, an eMINTS trained teacher, added much technology insight.

It takes energy and commitment to attend class after teaching all day.  Note the jump drive that Terri is putting to good use.

Dana writes down how she plans to integrate Inspiration into her volcano unit.  Darla concentrates on creating a review game using PowerPoint.

Pam wonders how this little bitty camera can take pictures?
