Participants in the course increase their appreciation of children's books through literary evaluation of picture books, junior novels, and poetry. Dr. Mike Cadden, EFLJ Department Chair and National Writing Project Teacher Consultant, is the course professor, which meets from 9:30 - 10:50 AM in Eder Hall 223 at Missouri Western.

Participants take up place-based issues of identity, ecology, culture, and community as they read, discuss, compose and share their work online.
