Greef Award

Every Missouri University and college offering a teaching degree in English presents the Robert J. Greef State Award annually to a graduating senior in English who plans to make teaching his or her career. The award is named after the late Robert J. Greef, a one time English department chair at Central Missouri State University. Dr. Greef believed so strongly in the importance of excellent English teaching that he founded the award bearing his name. Pictured to the right is Stefanie Lyle, Missouri Western State College award winner. Stefanie is a National Writing Project Teacher Consultant.
