The Griffon Yearbook
Since 1921, the Griffon has been the yearbook of Missouri Western — from its inception as a junior college to its current status as a university. It has been under the direction of Dr. Ann Thorne since 1987, and since that year has consistently won awards, such as the Pacemaker, the Silver Crown Award and Gold Crown Awards from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association, and numerous All-American ratings from the Associated Collegiate Press. Many individual writers, designers, and photographers for the Griffon have also won awards for their work.
