Our chapter is one big family. As brothers, we are
always there for each other, no matter what the situation or the
difficulty. Being a brother is being part of a larger group who is
depending upon your, and in turn, are there for our brothers to lean
on.
You'll occasionally hear the bogus phrase "TKE stands
for Tau Kappa Everybody" from those outside of the organization who
base their affiliations on superficiality and snobbishness. We answer
them this: "Yes, Everybody can join my fraternity, but not Anybody
can." People who react to us this way automatically isolate themselves
as men who do not want to build collegiate character or be a
contributing of an organization based upon character.
TKE was founded upon the principles of Love, Charity,
and Esteem, and we exemplify them in the way our brothers start as
fraternity candidates and become friends. Our fraternity does not
initiate members based on their wealth, rank, or honor, but on their
personal worth and character, and we ask men from all walks of life
who want to make a difference to join based on their integrity and
personal attributes. We recognize all brothers for the people they are
and the men they can become.
As a fraternal
brotherhood, our members enjoying hanging out in the Student Union,
playing Play Station, riding motorcycles and ATV's on one of our brother's
farms, going to football games as a group, and enjoying free food
provided by our Faculty Advisor. The friendships built while being
active in our chapter are valuable and last past college throughout
life.
