Welcome to Missouri Western's Psychology Club and Psi Chi Website.

Psychology Club was established at Western in 1980 to promote awareness of the various aspects of psychology, and to provide service and research opportunities for interested students.

Since its establishment, Psychology Club has assisted several organizations including Noyes Home, The Window, Camp Quality, the Alzheimer's Association, Dream Factory and the Special Olympics.

Any student interested in psychology may join Psychology Club. You can contact the Psychology Club Sponsor at this address: deka@missouriwestern.edu

A chapter of Psi Chi was established at Western in 1989. The Psi Chi organization is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies and is affiliated with both the American Psychological Association (APA) and the American Psychological Society (APS). The purpose of Psi Chi is to advance the science of psychology and to encourage, stimulate, and maintain scholarship in all fields, particularly in psychology. The aims of Psi Chi are summarized in two Greek words: Psyche, suggesting "mind," symbolizes scholarship and enrichment of the mind; Cheires, meaning "hands," symbolizes fellowship and research.

Most students who are members of Psi Chi are also members of Psychology Club. If you are interested in Psi Chi membership, click here to browse through some useful student links..
