Newman Centers across the nation and around the world are named after this great man by the name of John Henry Newman! (1801-1890)

He was born into the Anglican tradition in London, England and was a major figure in the Oxford Movement to bring the Church of England back to its Catholic roots.

The Missouri Western State University Newman Center in Saint Joseph, Missouri exists to radiate Jesus Christ in all things by encouraging those who live, worship, and work within this community to serve others and to strive toward the highest ideals of Christian spiritual, moral, and intellectual development as lived and taught in the rich tradition of the Catholic Church.

The Newman Center, located just across the front entrance of campus  is open to all students of Missouri Western.  We're open during and after school hours on most school days.

There's always free wifi, free laundry, games, food, and a place to study, relax, or hang out.
