Alpha Mu Gamma, the national collegiate foreign language honor society,
annually offers the following scholarships.
-
Three $500 scholarships (Goddard, Indovina & Krakowski Scholarships) for any
foreign language study.

One $400 scholarship to be used in conjunction with the full tuition summer
scholarship offered by Laval University (Quebec, Canada) for one month (July 2
- August 9) to members of Alpha Mu Gamma for intensive study of French.

"James Fonseca" $200 scholarship for the study of Esperanto or Spanish.
You are eligible to apply for these scholarships if you are a
Full Member
college student of Alpha Mu Gamma planning to continue the study of a foreign
language and have participated in a national competition.
Procedures

Obtain application from Mu Iota sponsor/advisor in the beginning of October of
each year.

Submit the completed application (in one packet) to the
Chair of the Scholarship Committee
by
January 10 of the new year
.

Winners are notified normally around the beginning of April.
Applicant must carry out the following steps

Complete the application form.

Submit a short biographical essay.

Obtain three (3) recommendations (one of which must be by the chapter advisor).

Provide relevant college transcript.

Submit a photo-copy of applicant AMG Full Member Certificate.
Failure to complete any step by the deadline will automatically void the
application. It is incumbent on each applicant to collect all the required
forms and mail them in one packet to the
Chair of the Scholarship Committee
by the specified deadline.
Scholarships are not renewable, but there is no limit on the number of times a
member
may apply.
