Submissions

We accept:
  • Short fiction and nonfiction
    Up to 5,000 words
  • Poetry
    Up to 5 poems
  • Black & white photos, illustrations, and other visual art
    Up to 10 pieces scanned or otherwise digitized
To include with your submission:
  • Cover letter with brief bio
  • Contact information (name, address, email, phone)
  • Self-addressed stamped envelope for our response

We seek stories, poems, and essays by writers who prize language, energy, voice, and vision. 5,000 word limit prose, 5 poems limit per submission.

All submissions must be unpublished. Simultaneous submissions accepted. Payment for publication is two copies of The Mochila Review in which the work appears. Please no submissions after deadline. Manuscripts will not be returned. Response time is 3 to 4 months.
