January Speaker

This month’s speaker was Linda Williams. Linda is a Campus Coordinator for the Becker CPA Review. Becker CPA Review has 40 years of experience in preparing accountants to pass the CPA exam. Becker merged with Convisor Duffy CPA Review six months ago. Linda discussed the Becker CPA Review program and provided promotional literature for everyone in attendance. Becker is now pilot testing a CMA/CFM Review program that should be available by the end of this semester. Thank you Linda for speaking with us and providing us with PIZZA!

Technical Meeting

The January Technical meeting was held on the 20th at the St. Joseph Frontier Casino. The topic was updates on the new federal and Missouri tax laws for 1999 and 2000. Some highlights mentioned included:

Spotlight Member

Cameron Chandler

The IMA spotlight member this month is Cameron Chandler. Cameron is a senior Accounting major. Cameron works at Pizza Hut as a Shift Manager. He's a two-year member of the Missouri Western State University marching band. Some of his hobbies are bowling, golf, football, baseball, and hockey. He lives in a one bedroom apartment with his two cats Ani and Pebbles. Cameron has had an interest in accounting since high school. He has a dream of being a self employed CPA working from home.
