STATEMENT OF PURPOSEThe purpose of this study is to look at the administrator's perspective professional development. It will look at what administrators feel teachers should know about their current students with ASD. It will also look at what kinds of professional development should be given and how much is effective each year. The goal of the study will be gather some kind of feel for what administrators think effective training looks like when dealing with special needs. I will also compare the data between public and private expectations.STATEMENT OF RESEARCH METHODOLOGYThe methodology will be simple. I will create an anonymous survey through survey monkey with an appropriate title for public schools and a different title for private schools. I will distribute the survey via email to administrator's of two public districts and of the St. Joseph Diocese. The survey with be 5 questions. Two will be one ended and the survey will allow for additional comments.ANTICIPATED RISKS AND BENEFITSThere should be nothing more than minimal risks involved in this study.SUBJECT SELECTIONThe survey will be sent to approximately 30 administrators in the Kansas City area.CONFIDENTIALITYThe survey will anonymous and sent through a password secured account that only I will have access to. The informed consent verbiage will be indicated in the email sent.Final Report on 04-29-2013I have completed my research. |
