STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

The purpose of this research is to determine if female college athletes have a better attitude and more educated approach to eating healthier than female non-athletes.

STATEMENT OF RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Participants will consist of 40 MWSU females (20 athletes and 20 non-athletes). We will measure the participants attitudes and knowledge levels by administering the Eating Attitudes Test survey. Surveys will be administered to student athletes as well as students enrolled in the PED 101 course.

ANTICIPATED RISKS AND BENEFITS

This research will consist of a survey. This is a minimal risk as the students will only fill out a survey and will not be asked to perform any physical activity.

SUBJECT SELECTION

Participants will consist of 40 MWSU females (20 athletes and 20 non-athletes).

CONFIDENTIALITY

Confidentiality will be maintained by not having the participants write their name on the survey.
