STATEMENT OF PURPOSEThe purpose of our study is to compare college athletes and non-athletes in the regards to their physical activity enjoyment.STATEMENT OF RESEARCH METHODOLOGYWe are going to hand out a survey to at least 25 college non-athletes and 25 college athletes. The survey we will be using will include The Physical Activity Enjoyment Scale as well as some added questions from us. We will also have the sign an informed consent form before completing the survey ensuring their confidentiality. There are no real risks or benefits to the volunteers. We want to see if there is a difference in the enjoyment levels between college athletes and non-athletes. We are going to get the minimum 25 college athletes from the Missouri Western baseball, football, woman's soccer, golf, and softball. The non-athletes will be collected from both a classroom setting as well as the Baker Fitness Center.ANTICIPATED RISKS AND BENEFITSThere are non anticipated risks that we see from taking the survey other than a volunteer feeling uncomfortable answering out questions. We have made our participants aware that they have the ability to quit the survey at anytime. There will be no benefits.SUBJECT SELECTIONWe want to see if there is a difference in the enjoyment levels between college athletes and non-athletes. We are going to get the minimum 25 college athletes from the Missouri Western baseball, football, woman's soccer, golf, and softball. The non-athletes will be collected from both a classroom setting as well as the Baker Fitness Center.CONFIDENTIALITYWe are administering a random survey that they will not have to provide us with their names on the survey.
